Arts High School A comprehensive, residential, tuition-free, public high school offering innovative coursework in six art areas: dance, music, visual arts, literary arts, theater, media arts and an intensive academic studies program. The school is open to 11th and 12th grade students from throughout Minnesota. Post Secondary Educational Options Post-Secondary Enrollment Options allows high school juniors and seniors to take courses, full- or part-time, at a post-secondary institution for high school credit. The program provides students with a greater variety of class offerings and the opportunity to pursue more challenging coursework than may be available at their high school. Tuition, fees and required textbooks are at no cost to students. Second Foundation School A unique private K-12 school where students actively participate in designing and implementing their own courses of study, following their own interests in an atmosphere which is designed to stimulate curiosity and encourage cooperation. The school is also democratically run, with students in all grades helping to make the rules that the school runs by. School of Environmental Studies Located on a 12-acre site on the grounds of the Minnesota Zoo, where students are able to use its facilities as a learning laboratory. This public school enrolls 11th and 12th grade students in an innovative program where students are taught using an interdisciplinary inquiry into an environmental theme. Students also have the opportunity to design projects that have value to the local community and go on field studies in different places throughout the world. |
